RSHE Curriculum

RSHE Curriculum

It is now a statutory requirement for schools in England to teach Relationships/ Relationships and Sex Education and Health Education (RSHE).

Every year, we like to gather parent views on our RSHE curriculum. This consultation is a way of showing you what your child will cover in PSHE lessons along with giving you the opportunity to comment on our curriculum. Please complete the form below, and if you would like to be contacted to discuss your comments, please leave your name at the bottom of the form.

Our PSHE curriculum is the overarching curriculum that your child will study whilst they are a student at Brownhills Ormiston Academy. Within this curriculum, we will have age-appropriate RSHE content to support students’ understanding in this area. This means that we have been reviewing our RSE (Relationship and Sex Education) curriculum and policy so we can be sure our RSE provision is appropriate for our pupils based on their:

  • Age
  • Physical and emotional maturity
  • Religious and cultural backgrounds
  • Special educational needs and disabilities
