Brownhills Ormiston Academy students celebrate GCSE successes 

There was a real sense of pride and celebration at Brownhills Ormiston Academy today as students collected their GCSE results, reflecting five years of learning and personal growth.

Located on the Walsall-Staffordshire border and part of Ormiston Academies Trust, the academy is celebrating a cohort of young people who have shown resilience, determination and care for their futures.

The Year 11 cohort achieved particularly highly in subjects including mathematics, English, biology, chemistry, physics, French, performing arts, music, sport, art and food and nutrition.

The whole school community has come together today to mark the students’ achievements, hard work and dedication, as they now prepare to take their next steps in education.

While all students have achieved well, some individual achievements include:

  • Ben Wall who achieved six grade 8 and 9s – the highest in the Academy
  • Julia Bargiel-Pietrzyk, Matilda Daniel, Phoebe Thompson, Holly Yates, Callum Hartshorne-Evans, Rebecca Hoye and Daniel Wawrzosek who also celebrated a record number of grade 8s and 9s across their excellent achievements
  • The academy’s highest ever number of students achieving a strong pass in both English and mathematics GCSEs Brownhills Ormiston Academy is focused and committed to giving extra care, guidance and support that enables all students to succeed. As part of Ormiston, the
    academy is dedicated to providing the highest quality education and ensuring that every child gains the skills, attributes and academic qualifications to enjoy a life of choice and opportunity.
