Open Mornings on Friday 29th September and Wednesday 4th October

Brownhills Ormiston Academy is a small and successful 11-16 academy that is extremely proud to serve its community.

It has traditional values but a modern approach, which combines formality with friendliness to achieve a culture where everyone matters, and everyone is known.

In fact, it describes itself as the small school with a big heart.

Brownhills Ormiston is an inclusive academy that thrives, due to its commitment that every student should achieve their potential, alongside its belief that everyone who works hard will do well with the right support and guidance.

The BOA values are ‘ready, respect, safe’ and these are embedded in its culture. Everyone is ready to learn, mutual respect is the tone of every interaction and safety is of paramount importance.

It should be clear from its values that the academy will suit those who share our desire to succeed, have high expectations of their own behaviour and want to work hard.

At BOA, students follow a rich and ambitious curriculum that is taught by subject specialists.

Its staff are experienced, talented and dedicated. Teachers work with every student to ensure they understand difficult concepts in every subject area.

BOA is proud to be part of Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT), a nationwide educational network that shares its values.

Both Brownhills Ormiston Academy and OAT are committed to providing a diverse range of enrichment opportunities that make attending the academy an unforgettable experience filled with lifelong memories.

BOA runs a series of trips and educational visits each year. From September 2023, these will include its visit to Paris, a residential outdoor adventure experience for its Year 7 students, a trip to London’s West End to see the hit musical ‘Wicked’, the Big Bang Science Fair at the NEC, and the CBSO’s performance Beethoven’s 5th Symphony.
